وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
لَآ
أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ
عَلَيۡهِ
مَالًاۖ
إِنۡ
أَجۡرِيَ
إِلَّا
عَلَى
ٱللَّهِۚ
وَمَآ
أَنَا۠
بِطَارِدِ
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوٓاْۚ
إِنَّهُم
مُّلَٰقُواْ
رَبِّهِمۡ
وَلَٰكِنِّيٓ
أَرَىٰكُمۡ
قَوۡمٗا
تَجۡهَلُونَ
٢٩
Mon peuple ! Je ne vous réclame en échange aucun salaire. Ma récompense incombe uniquement à Allah. Je ne repousserai certainement pas les modestes croyants qui m’entourent. Ceux-ci rencontreront un jour leur Seigneur. Mais je vois que vous êtes des ignorants.

وَمَآ أَنَاْ بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ
(I am not going to drive away those who have believed.) This alludes to the fact that they (the disbelievers) requested Nuh to disassociate himself from the believers, because they were averse to them and felt themselves too important to sit with them. This
