مَنَعَكَ
أَن
تَسۡجُدَ
لِمَا
خَلَقۡتُ
بِيَدَيَّۖ
أَسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ
أَمۡ
كُنتَ
مِنَ
ٱلۡعَالِينَ

അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) പറഞ്ഞു: ഇബ്ലീസേ, എന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ട് ഞാന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയതിനെ നീ പ്രണമിക്കുന്നതിന് നിനക്കെന്ത് തടസ്സമാണുണ്ടായത്? നീ അഹങ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണോ, അതല്ല നീ പൊങ്ങച്ചക്കാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് പെട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണോ?
