تِلۡكَ
ٱلۡقُرَىٰ
نَقُصُّ
عَلَيۡكَ
مِنۡ
أَنۢبَآئِهَاۚ
وَلَقَدۡ
جَآءَتۡهُمۡ
رُسُلُهُم
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
فَمَا
كَانُواْ
لِيُؤۡمِنُواْ
بِمَا
كَذَّبُواْ
مِن
قَبۡلُۚ
كَذَٰلِكَ
يَطۡبَعُ
ٱللَّهُ
عَلَىٰ
قُلُوبِ
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
١٠١
Iată aceste cetăți, ale căror istorii ți le povestim [o, Mohammed]. Cu siguranță Trimișii lor au venit la ei cu semne limpezi, însă ei nu au voit să creadă în ceea ce nu au acceptat mai înainte1. Așa pecetluiește Allah inimile necredincioșilor.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
تِلْكَ الْقُرَى نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ
(Those were the towns that We relate to you) O Muhammad,
مِنْ أَنبَآئِهَا
(their story), and news,
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَتِ
(And there came indeed to them their Messengers with clear proofs,) and evidences of the truth of what they brought them. All
