نَارٌ
حَامِيَةُۢ

E un Fuoco ardente. 1 «La Percotente»: uno dei nomi del Giorno della Resurrezione. 2 Verss. e «bilance pesanti… bilance leggere»: di opere meritorie. 3 «una vita felice»: nel Paradiso. 4 «avrà per dimora il Baratro »: lett. «sua madre sarà il Baratro». Nella lingua araba, i termini ‘Umm e Abû (madre e padre) vengono usati anche in senso lato, per indicare l’origine di qualcosa, la sua appartenenza assoluta, ecc. (vedi III, e la nota). In questo caso esprime il concetto che il dannato non avrà altra dimora che «al-Hâwiya» (il baratro, l’abisso).

Which was revealed in Makkah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Al-Qariah is one of the names of the Day of Judgement, like Al-Haqqah, At-Tammah, As-Sakhkhah others
Then Allah intensifies concern and fright for it by saying,
وَمَآ أَدْرَاكَ م
…Which was revealed in Makkah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
