قَالُواْ
يَٰشُعَيۡبُ
أَصَلَوٰتُكَ
تَأۡمُرُكَ
أَن
نَّتۡرُكَ
مَا
يَعۡبُدُ
ءَابَآؤُنَآ
أَوۡ
أَن
نَّفۡعَلَ
فِيٓ
أَمۡوَٰلِنَا
مَا
نَشَٰٓؤُاْۖ
إِنَّكَ
لَأَنتَ
ٱلۡحَلِيمُ
ٱلرَّشِيدُ
٨٧
Ei au spus: „O, Șuayb! Oare rugăciunile tale [religia ta] îți poruncesc ca noi să ne lepădăm de ceea ce au adorat părinții noștri și să nu facem ceea ce voim cu averile noastre? Cu adevărat, tu ești blând și chibzuit.”1

The Response of Shu`ayb's People
They said to Shu`ayb, in mockery,
أَصَلَوَتُكَ
(Does your Salah) Al-A`mash said, "This means your reading."
تَأْمُرُكَ أَن نَّتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءابَاؤُنَآ
(command you that we give up what our fathers used to worship,) meaning the idols and statues.
أَوْ أَن نَّفْعَلَ
