وَأَمَّا
ثَمُودُ
فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ
فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ
ٱلۡعَمَىٰ
عَلَى
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ
صَٰعِقَةُ
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ٱلۡهُونِ
بِمَا
كَانُواْ
يَكۡسِبُونَ
١٧
またサムード*はといえば、われら*が彼らに導きを示した後、導きよりも（迷いという）盲目を好んだ。それで彼らが稼いでいたもの[1]ゆえ、屈辱的な懲罰の稲妻[2]が彼らを捕らえたのだ。 1
