Al-A’ráf 7:48 ونادى اصحاب الاعراف رجالا يعرفونهم بسيماهم قالوا ما اغنى عنكم جمعكم وما كنتم تستكبرون ٤٨
وَنَادَىٰٓ
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ٱلۡأَعۡرَافِ
رِجَالٗا
يَعۡرِفُونَهُم
بِسِيمَىٰهُمۡ
قَالُواْ
مَآ
أَغۡنَىٰ
عَنكُمۡ
جَمۡعُكُمۡ
وَمَا
كُنتُمۡ
تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
٤٨
La gente de los lugares elevados llamará a unas personas [habitantes del Fuego] que serán reconocidas por su aspecto, diciéndoles: “De nada les valieron sus riquezas ni su soberbia.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
مَآ أَغْنَى عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ
("Of what benefit to you was your gathering...") meaning, your great numbers,
وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
("...and your arrogance") This Ayah means, your great numbers and wealth did not save you from Allah's torment. Rather, you are dwelling in His torment and punishm
