لَوۡ
كَانَ
عَرَضٗا
قَرِيبٗا
وَسَفَرٗا
قَاصِدٗا
لَّٱتَّبَعُوكَ
وَلَٰكِنۢ
بَعُدَتۡ
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ٱلشُّقَّةُۚ
وَسَيَحۡلِفُونَ
بِٱللَّهِ
لَوِ
ٱسۡتَطَعۡنَا
لَخَرَجۡنَا
مَعَكُمۡ
يُهۡلِكُونَ
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
وَٱللَّهُ
يَعۡلَمُ
إِنَّهُمۡ
لَكَٰذِبُونَ
٤٢
Dacă ar fi fost un câștig ușor sau o călătorie scurtă, atunci ei [ipocriții] te-ar fi urmat, însă distanța li s-a părut lor prea grea și lungă. Și vor jura ei pe Allah1: „De-am fi putut noi, am fi purces laolaltă cu voi”, pierzându-se pe ei înșiși [prin jurăminte false], dar Allah Știe că ei sunt mincinoși.
