يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
مَا
لَكُمۡ
إِذَا
قِيلَ
لَكُمُ
ٱنفِرُواْ
فِي
سَبِيلِ
ٱللَّهِ
ٱثَّاقَلۡتُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
أَرَضِيتُم
بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
مِنَ
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ
فَمَا
مَتَٰعُ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
فِي
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
إِلَّا
قَلِيلٌ
٣٨
O, voi cei care credeţi! Ce‑i cu voi? Când vi s‑a zis: „Purcedeţi pe calea lui Allah!”, voi v‑aţi lăsat grei pe pământ.1 Oare v‑a plăcut vouă viaţa lumească mai mult decât Viaţa de Apoi? Plăcerea acestei vieţi nu va fi decât puţină în Lumea de Apoi!

Admonishing clinging to Life rather than rushing to perform Jihad
Allah admonishes those who lagged behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the battle of Tabuk, at a time when fruits were ripe and shades tempting in the intense and terrible heat,
يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُم
