Ash-Shu'ara 26:102 فلو ان لنا كرة فنكون من المومنين ١٠٢

26:102

فَلَوۡ

أَنَّ

لَنَا

كَرَّةٗ

فَنَكُونَ

مِنَ

ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

١٠٢

Would that we have a chance to return whereby we may join the believers!’”

69. And recite before them the narrative of Ibrāhīm, 70. when he said to his father and to his people, “What do you worship?” 71. They said, “We worship idols, and stay devoted to them.” 72. He said, “Do they listen to you when you call (them) 73. or do they bring benefit to you or harm?” 74. They said, “No, but we have found our fathers doing like this.” 75. He said, “Have you then ever considered what you have been worshipping, 76. you and your ancient fathers, 77. they all are an enemy to me, except the Lord of the worlds, 78. who created me, and who guides me, 79. and Who feeds me and gives me drink, 80. and when I become sick, He heals me, 81. and who will make me die, then will give me life, 82. and who, I hope, will forgive my fault on the Day of Retribution. 83. O my Lord, give me wisdom, and make me join the righteous, 84. and destine for me a truthful description among the next generations, 85. and make me among those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 86. and forgive my father. Indeed he was one of those who went astray, 87. and do not put me to disgrace on the Day when all will be raised to life, 88. the Day when neither wealth will be of any use (to any one) nor sons, 89. except to him who will come to Allah with a sound heart, 90. and the Paradise will be brought near to the God-fearing 91. and the Hell will be fully uncovered for the perverse, 92. and it will be said to them, ‘Where is that which you used to worship 93. beside Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?’ 94. So they (their false gods) will be thrown on their faces into it - they and the erring people 95. and the entire army of Iblīs (Satan), all together. 96. They will say when they will be quarreling there with each other, 97. ‘By Allah, we were in open error 98. when we used to equate you with the Lord of the worlds, 99. and it is only the sinners who misguided us. 100. Now we have neither any intercessors 101. nor any true friend. 102. Would that we have a chance to return whereby we may join the believers!’” 103. Surely, in this there is a sign, but most of them are not believers, 104. and indeed your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful.
