Al-Ma'idah 5:46 وقفينا على اثارهم بعيسى ابن مريم مصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة واتيناه الانجيل فيه هدى ونور ومصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة وهدى وموعظة للمتقين ٤٦
وَقَفَّيۡنَا
عَلَىٰٓ
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
بِعِيسَى
ٱبۡنِ
مَرۡيَمَ
مُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۖ
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
فِيهِ
هُدٗى
وَنُورٞ
وَمُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ
وَهُدٗى
وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
٤٦
അവരെ (ആ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ) ത്തുടര്ന്ന് അവരുടെ കാല്പാടുകളിലായിക്കൊണ്ട് മര്യമിന്റെ മകന് ഈസായെ തന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള തൌറാത്തിനെ ശരിവെക്കുന്നവനായിക്കൊണ്ട് നാം നിയോഗിച്ചു. സന്മാര്ഗനിര്ദേശവും, സത്യപ്രകാശവും അടങ്ങിയ ഇന്ജീലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നാം നല്കി. അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള തൌറാത്തിനെ ശരിവെക്കുന്നതും, സൂക്ഷ്മത പാലിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് സദുപദേശവുമത്രെ അത്.

Allah Mentions `Isa and Praises the Injil
Allah said,
وَقَفَّيْنَا
(and We sent...) meaning, We sent
عَلَى ءَاثَـرِهِمْ
(in their footsteps) meaning the Prophets of the Children of Israel,
بِعَيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَوْرَاةِ
(`Isa, son of Maryam, confirming the Tawrah
