Ibn Kathir (Abridged)

There is a Difference between a Believer and a Muslim

Allah chastises the bedouins who, when they embraced Islam, claimed for themselves the grade of faithful believers. However, Faith had not yet firmly entered their hearts,

Chapter 49, Page 517, Juz 26

14. A'robiylar: «Iymon keltirdik», deyishdi. Sen: «Iymon keltirganingiz yo`q, lekin, bo`yinsundik, denglar, hali iymon qalblaringizga kirgani yo`q va agar Allohga va Uning Rasuliga itoat qilsangiz, amallaringizdan hech narsa kamaymas. Albatta, Alloh kechiruvchi va rahimli Zotdir», deb ayt. 15. Albatta, haqiqiy mo`minlar Allohga va Uning Rasuliga iymon keltirgan, so`ngra shubha qilmagan va Allohning yo`lida mollari va jonlari ila jihod qilganlardir. Ana o`shalar, o`shalargina (iymonida) sodiqlardir. 16. Sen: «Allohga diningizni bildirmoqchimisiz? Va holbuki, Alloh osmonlaru yerdagi narsani biluvchi Zotdir. Alloh har bir narsani biluvchidir», deb ayt. 17. Senga musulmon bo`lganlarini minnat qilurlar. Sen: «Menga Islomingizni minnat qilmang. Balki agar sodiq bo`lsangiz, Alloh sizni iymonga hidoyat qilganini minnat qilur», deb ayt. 18. Albatta, Alloh osmonlaru yerning g`aybini biluvchi Zotdir. Va Alloh qilayotgan ishlaringizni ko`ruvchi Zotdir.
