Al-Hajj 22:44 واصحاب مدين وكذب موسى فامليت للكافرين ثم اخذتهم فكيف كان نكير ٤٤
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ
مَدۡيَنَۖ
وَكُذِّبَ
مُوسَىٰۖ
فَأَمۡلَيۡتُ
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
ثُمَّ
أَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ
فَكَيۡفَ
كَانَ
نَكِيرِ
٤٤
and so did the dwellers of Midian, and Moses too was branded a liar. Initially I granted respite to the unbelievers for a while and then seized them.1 How dreadful was My punishment!2

Here Allah consoles His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for the disbelief of those among his people who opposed him.
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ
(And if they deny you, so did deny before them the people of Nuh) until His saying,
