Al-Baqarah 2:249 فلما فصل طالوت بالجنود قال ان الله مبتليكم بنهر فمن شرب منه فليس مني ومن لم يطعمه فانه مني الا من اغترف غرفة بيده فشربوا منه الا قليلا منهم فلما جاوزه هو والذين امنوا معه قالوا لا طاقة لنا اليوم بجالوت وجنوده قال الذين يظنون انهم ملاقو الله كم من فية قليلة غلبت فية كثيرة باذن الله والله مع الصابرين ٢٤٩
فَلَمَّا
فَصَلَ
طَالُوتُ
بِٱلۡجُنُودِ
قَالَ
إِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
مُبۡتَلِيكُم
بِنَهَرٖ
فَمَن
شَرِبَ
مِنۡهُ
فَلَيۡسَ
مِنِّي
وَمَن
لَّمۡ
يَطۡعَمۡهُ
فَإِنَّهُۥ
مِنِّيٓ
إِلَّا
مَنِ
ٱغۡتَرَفَ
غُرۡفَةَۢ
بِيَدِهِۦۚ
فَشَرِبُواْ
مِنۡهُ
إِلَّا
قَلِيلٗا
مِّنۡهُمۡۚ
فَلَمَّا
جَاوَزَهُۥ
هُوَ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
مَعَهُۥ
قَالُواْ
لَا
طَاقَةَ
لَنَا
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ
بِجَالُوتَ
وَجُنُودِهِۦۚ
قَالَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
يَظُنُّونَ
أَنَّهُم
مُّلَٰقُواْ
ٱللَّهِ
كَم
مِّن
فِئَةٖ
قَلِيلَةٍ
غَلَبَتۡ
فِئَةٗ
كَثِيرَةَۢ
بِإِذۡنِ
ٱللَّهِۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
مَعَ
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
٢٤٩
Tolut askar bilan chiqqanda: «Albatta, Alloh sizni daryo bilan sinovchidir, kim undan ichsa, u mendan emas. Va kim uni tanovul qilmasa, u, albatta, mendandir. Magar birov qo`li bilan bir ho`plam ho`plasa, mayli», dedi. Ozginalaridan boshqalari undan ichdilar. U va u bilan birga iymon keltirganlar u(daryo)dan o`tganlarida, ular: «Bugun bizda Jolut va uning askari bilan jang qilishga toqat yo`q», dedilar. Allohga ro`baro` bo`lishga ishonganlar: «Qanchadan-qancha oz sonli guruhlar Allohning izni bilan ko`p sonli guruhlarga g`olib kelgan. Alloh sabrlilar bilandir», – dedilar.1

Allah states that Talut, the king of the Children of Israel, marched forth with his soldiers and the Israelites who obeyed him. His army was of eighty thousand then, according to As-Suddi, but Allah knows best. Talut said:
