Al-Baqarah 2:155 ولنبلونكم بشيء من الخوف والجوع ونقص من الاموال والانفس والثمرات وبشر الصابرين ١٥٥
وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُم
بِشَيۡءٖ
مِّنَ
ٱلۡخَوۡفِ
وَٱلۡجُوعِ
وَنَقۡصٖ
مِّنَ
ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِ
وَٱلۡأَنفُسِ
وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۗ
وَبَشِّرِ
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
١٥٥
Kami sa pagkatinuod magasulay kaninyo pinaagi sa gamayng kahadlok, kagutom, kawad-on sa bahandi (kakabus), mga kinabuhi (kamatayon), ug sa mga tanum; apan paghatag og maayong balita alang sa mga mapailubon,

Allah informs us that He tests and tries His servants, just as He said in another Ayah:
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّى نَعْلَمَ الْمُجَهِدِينَ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّبِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَ أَخْبَرَكُمْ
