وَلَوۡ
أَنَّ
أَهۡلَ
ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ
ءَامَنُواْ
وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ
لَفَتَحۡنَا
عَلَيۡهِم
بَرَكَٰتٖ
مِّنَ
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَلَٰكِن
كَذَّبُواْ
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم
بِمَا
كَانُواْ
يَكۡسِبُونَ
٩٦
Dacă popoarele acestor cetăți ar fi crezut și ar fi avut frică, atunci Noi le-am fi dăruit binecuvântări din Cer și de pe Pământ, dar ei i-au socotit mincinoși [pe Mesageri] și din această cauză Noi i-am apucat pentru ceea ce au agonisit1.

Allah mentions here the little faith of the people of the towns to whom He sent Messengers. In another instance, Allah said,
