وَلَوۡ
شِئۡنَا
لَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ
بِهَا
وَلَٰكِنَّهُۥٓ
أَخۡلَدَ
إِلَى
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَٱتَّبَعَ
هَوَىٰهُۚ
فَمَثَلُهُۥ
كَمَثَلِ
ٱلۡكَلۡبِ
إِن
تَحۡمِلۡ
عَلَيۡهِ
يَلۡهَثۡ
أَوۡ
تَتۡرُكۡهُ
يَلۡهَثۚ
ذَّٰلِكَ
مَثَلُ
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
ٱلَّذِينَ
كَذَّبُواْ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۚ
فَٱقۡصُصِ
ٱلۡقَصَصَ
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Dacă Noi am fi Voit, l-am fi ridicat prin ele1, însă el a înclinat spre pământ2 și a urmat poftei sale. Pilda lui este asemenea pildei câinelui: dacă-l alungi, el scoate limba gâfâind; dacă-l lași în pace, tot scoate limba gâfâind. Aceasta este pilda acelora care neagă Semnele Noastre3. Istorisește-le, poveștile; poate că ei vor cugeta!

Story Bal`am bin Ba`ura
`Abdur-Razzaq recorded that `Abdullah bin Mas`ud said that Allah's statement,
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ الَّذِى ءاتَيْنَهُ ءَايَتِنَا فَانْسَلَخَ مِنْهَا
