وَجَٰوَزۡنَا
بِبَنِيٓ
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
ٱلۡبَحۡرَ
فَأَتَوۡاْ
عَلَىٰ
قَوۡمٖ
يَعۡكُفُونَ
عَلَىٰٓ
أَصۡنَامٖ
لَّهُمۡۚ
قَالُواْ
يَٰمُوسَى
ٱجۡعَل
لَّنَآ
إِلَٰهٗا
كَمَا
لَهُمۡ
ءَالِهَةٞۚ
قَالَ
إِنَّكُمۡ
قَوۡمٞ
تَجۡهَلُونَ
١٣٨
Și i-am făcut Noi pe Fiii lui Israel să treacă marea și au venit ei la un popor care se închina unor idoli. Atunci i-au spus ei: „O, Moise! Fă-ne nouă un zeu, așa cum au și ei zei!” Dar el le-a răspuns: „Cu adevărat voi sunteți un neam de neștiutori.

The Children of Israel safely cross the Sea, but still held on to the Idea of Idol Worshipping
