How many court cases have we seen where multiple people commit a crime together, but when they are caught, they testify against one another in order to get a lighter sentence for themselves. I'm sure this comes as a big shock to those who are being testified against.

وبدأ -جل ثناؤه- بذكر البنين، ثم الصاحبة، ثم الأخ؛ إعلامًا منه عباده أن الكافر من عظيم ما ينزل به يومئذ من البلاء يفتدي نفسه، لو وجد إلى ذلك سبيلًا بأحب الناس إليه كان في الدنيا، وأقربهم إليه نسبًا. الطبري: 23/606.
