I read this quote the other day and it really made me think:

'Nothing on Earth is worth going to Hell for' 

SubhanAllah, there is absolutely no desire, no object, no experience, no indulgence, no person that is worth going to Hell for. It's really something to reflect upon when we are tempted to disobey Allah.

All the sacrifices will be worth it for the one entering the gates of Jennah.

None of the sins will be worth it for the one entering the gates of Hell.

These people are in Jennah, they’ve made it. They’ve earned their paradise. They’re now relaxed, enjoying the comforts and luxuries of jennah. They see other people of jennah and they have a conversation. They’re wondering how did the people of jahanam get there?  And the first thing they answer is, we were not of those who prayed. 

The fact that salah is the first thing they answer should be a warning. Whatever state in our lives that we may be in, salah takes priority. Even if we’re someone who’s established their five daily prayers, alhamdulilah, we should never feel that we’ve done enough. We should always try and push for more. And especially now, now that we’re all at home because of this virus - May Allah grant all those that are suffering from it shifa - we should take advantage of this time. I keep trying to remind myself this.  This is the perfect opportunity for us to perfect our salah. Pray them on time, pray all of the sunnah salahs, pray qiyam, perfect our khushoo, add more duas into our salah, etc. there’s always more that can be done. 

Because at the end of the day, which side of that conversation do you want to be on?

Journaling is more than a habit. It is a mirror of our inner state and the intentions that guide our actions.

Over the years, my journaling has transformed. What once was just a way to organize my day, or even talk through problems out loud like a software developer explaining issues to a rubber duck, has become a sacred space. A space where I align my actions with my purpose before Allah (SWT).

The Qur’an reminds us of the importance of intention in every act:

" Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will find it with Allah far better and more rewarding. " (Quran 73:20)

The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized:

"The reward of deeds depends upon the intention and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended..." (Bukhari & Muslim)

These words remind me that the true value of our actions—whether journaling, fulfilling daily tasks, or caring for our family—lies not only in completion but in the sincerity of our intention.

Using a habit tracker or planning my day is not just for productivity. It is a reminder of the commitment I carry: to show up for Allah, for my family, and for myself. Completing tasks is not a measure of perfection but a reflection of perseverance and discipline. These qualities are exactly what Shaytan tries to undermine.

Even small acts, like spending sincerely on one’s family, carry immense weight if done with the intention of pleasing Allah. The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"If a man spends on his family sincerely for Allah's sake, then it is a kind of alms-giving in reward for him."

Every daily action, no matter how mundane, can become an act of worship when done mindfully and sincerely.

Journaling becomes a tool of spiritual alignment. It is where intention meets discipline, where reflection meets action, and where routines become acts of devotion.

Showing up consistently with purpose is not just a habit. It is a form of worship, a defense against complacency, and a path toward spiritual growth.

RAMADHAN WILL LEAVE US BUT MAY WE NEVER  LEAVE RAMADHAN
Let those who worship Ramadhan know that Ramadhan will leave  
But  for those who worship Allah, they know that Allah is The Ever-Living.

JUZ 29 closes Ramadhan with the call for da'wah.
Juz 29 gives a checklist on how to spread The Quran as 'Hudan linnaas'; a Guide for all humanity.

Al Mulk : is reiterating our responsibility to spread the Quran far and wide, even with one ayah.
Al Qalam ayat 14 : tells us that da'wah with the best actions emanating from the best akhlak is way better than a thousand words.
Al Haqqah ayat 44-47 : deals with the integrity of person doing da'wah (da’ie) and the content of the da'wah
Nuh : inspiring the high standard for patience in da'wah
Al Jin : puts the stress on sound knowledge and good listening skills to have maximum input for da'wah
Al Muzzammil : stresses on the night worship when the Quran hits the heart of the da'ie before he goes out to touch others’ hearts 
Al Muddaththir : talks of character building for the da'ie to be out of his comfort zone and to avoid bad character
Al Qiyamah : pushes for the commitment to learn from teachers and to source  expert transmission of knowledge (talaqqi) from a mentor
Al Insan : tells us of the ultimate motivation for the da'ie is his eventual meeting with Allah SWT in the paradise of Zanjabila where Allah SWT will appreciate him for his services
Al-Mursalat Ayat 4-5 : likens the da'ie to  raindrops that fall slowly and gently rejuvenating the dead earth
