وَإِن
كَذَّبُوكَ
فَقُل
لِّي
عَمَلِي
وَلَكُمۡ
عَمَلُكُمۡۖ
أَنتُم
بَرِيٓـُٔونَ
مِمَّآ
أَعۡمَلُ
وَأَنَا۠
بَرِيٓءٞ
مِّمَّا
تَعۡمَلُونَ

(நபியே!) உம்மை பொய்யரென அவர்கள் கூறினால் (அவர்களை நோக்கி ‘‘நன்மையோ தீமையோ) என் செயல்(களின் பலன்) எனக்குரியது; (அவ்வாறே) உங்கள் செயல்(களின் பலன்) உங்களுக்குரியது. என் செயலில் இருந்து நீங்கள் விடுபட்டவர்கள்; உங்கள் செயலில் இருந்து நான் விடுபட்டவன்'' என்று கூறுவீராக.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
The Command to be Free and Clear from the Idolators
Allah said to His Prophet : `If these idolators belie you, then be clear from them and their deeds.'
فَقُل لِّى عَمَلِى وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ
(Say: "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds!") Similarly, Allah said:
قُلْ يأَيُّهَا الْكَفِرُونَ -
