قل ارايتكم ان اتاكم عذاب الله او اتتكم الساعة اغير الله تدعون ان كنتم صادقين ٤٠
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٤٠
قُلۡ
أَرَءَيۡتَكُمۡ
إِنۡ
أَتَىٰكُمۡ
عَذَابُ
ٱللَّهِ
أَوۡ
أَتَتۡكُمُ
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
أَغَيۡرَ
ٱللَّهِ
تَدۡعُونَ
إِن
كُنتُمۡ
صَٰدِقِينَ
٤٠
Ngươi (hỡi Thiên Sứ) hãy nói (với những kẻ đa thần này): “Nếu các ngươi nói thật (rằng các thần linh của các người có thể mang lại điều lợi và đẩy lùi điều dữ) thì các người hãy cho ta biết nếu hình phạt của Allah túm lấy các người hoặc Giờ Tận Thế (bất ngờ) xảy đến, có phải các người sẽ cầu xin ai khác ngoài Allah chứ?!”

1-5: Allah created the heaven and earth but the non-believers call others equal to Allah:
* 1-3 Praise to the Almighty and Omniscient creator
* 4-5 The willful disbelief of the Makkan infidels.
6 - 11: Allah’s punishment came upon those who denied the truth:
* 7-9 If Allah had sent a written Book and an angel with it the unbelievers still would not have believed
