واذ قال الله يا عيسى ابن مريم اانت قلت للناس اتخذوني وامي الاهين من دون الله قال سبحانك ما يكون لي ان اقول ما ليس لي بحق ان كنت قلته فقد علمته تعلم ما في نفسي ولا اعلم ما في نفسك انك انت علام الغيوب ١١٦
وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ ١١٦

عَلِمۡتَهُۥۚ
تَعۡلَمُ
مَا
فِي
نَفۡسِي
وَلَآ
أَعۡلَمُ
مَا
فِي
نَفۡسِكَۚ
إِنَّكَ
أَنتَ
عَلَّٰمُ
ٱلۡغُيُوبِ
١١٦
(Ngươi - hỡi Thiên Sứ hãy nhớ lại) khi Allah phán bảo: “Hỡi Ysa con trai của Mar-yam, phải chăng nhà Ngươi đã bảo thiên hạ ‘các người hãy tôn vinh Ta và mẹ của Ta như hai thượng đế thay vì Allah’ đúng không? (Ysa) thưa: “Thật vinh quang và tối cao thay Ngài, làm sao bề tôi dám nói ra điều mà bề tôi không có thẩm quyền. Nếu như bề tôi thực sự đã nói như thế thì chắc chắn Ngài đã biết bởi vì Ngài biết rõ những gì trong bản thân bề tôi còn bề tôi thì không biết những điều trong bản thân Ngài. Quả thật, Ngài là Đấng thông toàn mọi điều vô hình.”

It caused me to think, at a time when Allah is questioning Jesus A.S infront of all humanity including Christians concerning the accusation that his followers had made about Allah swt that would've caused the earth and mountains to erupt.

What has always intrigued me most about this powerful passage is the question: why does Jesus AS provide such a long response to a question that he knows very well that Allah SWT already knows the answer to? Surely Jesus AS didn't doubt that Allah SWT knew that he was innocent of the claims made against him that he called his followers to his own worship, so couldn't he simply answer with : 'No I did not'?
