ذالك هدى الله يهدي به من يشاء من عباده ولو اشركوا لحبط عنهم ما كانوا يعملون ٨٨
ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٨٨
ذٰ لِكَ
هُدَى
اللّٰهِ
يَهۡدِىۡ
بِهٖ
مَنۡ
يَّشَآءُ
مِنۡ
عِبَادِهٖؕ
وَلَوۡ
اَشۡرَكُوۡا
لَحَبِطَ
عَنۡهُمۡ
مَّا
كَانُوۡا
يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

یہ اللہ کی وہ ہدایت ہے جس کے ساتھ وہ راہنمائی فرماتا ہے جس کی چاہتا ہے اپنے بندوں میں سے۔ اور اگر (بالفرض) وہ بھی شرک کرتے تو ان کے بھی سارے اعمال ضائع ہوجاتے

(ولو أشركوا) على الفرض والتقدير (لحبط عنهم ما كانوا يعملون)؛ فإن الشرك محبط للعمل، موجب للخلود في النار، فإذا كان هؤلاء الصفوة الأخيار لو أشركوا -وحاشاهم- لحبطت أعمالهم، فغيرهم أولى. السعدي:264.
