والذين كذبوا باياتنا صم وبكم في الظلمات من يشا الله يضلله ومن يشا يجعله على صراط مستقيم ٣٩
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا صُمٌّۭ وَبُكْمٌۭ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ ۗ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ ٣٩
وَالَّذِيۡنَ
كَذَّبُوۡا
بِاٰيٰتِنَا
صُمٌّ
وَّبُكۡمٌ
فِى
الظُّلُمٰتِؕ
مَنۡ
يَّشَاِ
اللّٰهُ
يُضۡلِلۡهُ ؕ
وَمَنۡ
يَّشَاۡ
يَجۡعَلۡهُ
عَلٰى
صِرَاطٍ
مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ
٣٩
اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا وہ بہرے اور گونگے ہیں (اور) اندھیروں میں (بھٹک رہے) ہیں جس کو اللہ چاہتا ہے گمراہ کردیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے پر لے آتا ہے

While reciting this ayah, when I came to the part مَن يَّشَإِ اللّٰه يُضْلِلْهُ، ومَنْ يَّشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ, made me realise how fortune we are to be Muslims.
If Allah s.w.t wanted us to be astray, we would've been astray far away from his mercy and forgiveness.
Imagine being deprived of witnessing the month of Ramadhaan. And the opportunity to gain 83 years of 'IBAADAH through ليلة القدر.

6. The will of Allah (He guide those that seek guidance and mislead those that seek misguidance)

* 6th Surah according to the arrangement of the Qur'an; 55th according to the order of revelation.
* Verses: 165 verses .
* It was revealed in Makkah about 1 or 2 years before the Hijrah.
* High emphasis on Tawhid (Creed). It contains basic principles of Tawhid. It gives beautiful description of Allah's creative power. It criticizes Shirk and its manifestations.
