اور ہم نے نجات دی اس کو اور اس کے گھر والوں کو کرب عظیم سے

ALLAH teaches us that our blood ties do not determine our kinship, imaan does.
ALLAH also teaches and warns us that our faith is not a guarantee.

When I became a Muslim, a relative of mine told me that I had forgotten where I came from. He told me that he might not be the most religous person, but at least he is loyal to his forefathers - unlike me, who had betrayed everything that matters.
These ayahs bring me comfort because they remind me that I'm not the one who forgot where I came from. Our true forefathers are those who submit to Allah.

In the later part of the Quran , Allah begins to tell us in depth about The Hereafter. This is not a coincidence.
It is as if reading the Quran is like the extent of your life. You begin with strong belief in Allah and understand His rules.
Then you learn to implement those rules by reading about the prophets, you also learn how to return to Allah after breaking some of these commandments, as we all make mistakes.
