يوسف ايها الصديق افتنا في سبع بقرات سمان ياكلهن سبع عجاف وسبع سنبلات خضر واخر يابسات لعلي ارجع الى الناس لعلهم يعلمون ٤٦
يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِى سَبْعِ بَقَرَٰتٍۢ سِمَانٍۢ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌۭ وَسَبْعِ سُنۢبُلَـٰتٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَـٰتٍۢ لَّعَلِّىٓ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ٤٦

بَقَرٰتٍ
سِمَانٍ
يَّاۡكُلُهُنَّ
سَبۡعٌ

سُنۡۢبُلٰتٍ
خُضۡرٍ
وَّاُخَرَ
يٰبِسٰتٍ ۙ
لَّعَلِّىۡۤ
اَرۡجِعُ
اِلَى
النَّاسِ
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
٤٦
اے یوسف ! اے راست باز ! ہمیں تعبیر بتائیے سات موٹی گائیوں کے بارے میں کہ انہیں کھا رہی ہیں سات دبلی اور سات سبز بالیوں اور دوسری (سات) خشک بالیوں کے بارے میں تاکہ میں واپس جاؤں (تعبیر لے کر) ان لوگوں کے پاس تاکہ انہیں بھی معلوم ہوجائے

یوسف علیہ السلام کے پاس ہر موقع تھا کہ وہ گناہ میں مبتلا ہو جائیں— تعریف، فتنہ، طاقت — سب کچھ موجود تھا۔ لیکن انہیں جو چیز بچا گئی وہ نہ جسمانی طاقت تھی نہ چالاکی بلکہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے گہرا تعلق تھا

'یوسف علیہ السلام کو گناہ سے بچانے والی چیز جسمانی طاقت یا چالاکی نہیں بلکہ اللہ سے ان کا گہرا تعلق تھا۔'
یہ بات ہمیں ایک نہایت اہم اور طاقتور سبق سکھاتی ہے:

An amazing similarity. In the story of Adam, after asking the angels to name the things that he taught Adam, they admitting to not knowing. So upon Adam proving his superiority in knowledge, Allah asked the angels to prostrate to him. Look at the honor old Yousef! he didnt use his knowledge as a bargaining tool and explained the dream, and offered a solution, without asking for anything in return. the only time he made the request for a fair hearing was when the king asked for him to be released , and as a condition for his release, but not a condition for teaching them the interpretation of the dream.

Though Prophets have the most Tawakul (reliance) in Allah, they are also amongst the most proactive. Yousef suggested storing most of the harvest from the good years for the bad years to come and this doesn't indicate a lack of Tawakul at all. Surat Yusuf:
This chapter reminds us that hardship come first and it is described through problems that Yusuf had from a young age. He was betrayed by his brother and separated from his dad, dumped in a well and found by slave-merchants, sold as a slave, and he was accused of adultery king's wife.
