Being mindful of Allah, accountability and the Day of Judgement.
The first ayah of Surah Ma'un, makes me personally feel startled and alert. I have to take important note. The one who denies accountability and their final judgement.
The one who denies their final accountability as the beautiful Surah in which Allah describes the one who pursues in evil acts such as admonishing and pushing away vulnerable orphan(s)...مزید دیکھیں

The 2 surahs are back to back and have interesting contrasting verses.
Surah Al kawthar starts by mentioning Allahs generosity in giving the Prophet Mohammad SAW the abundant goodness. Surah al Maun on the other hand starts by mentioning the oppisite virtue of generosity, stinginess! It does so by mentioning the one who pushes away orphans and doesnt help feed the need.

As Ramadan progresses, I find myself thinking deeply about the purpose behind everything I am doing. I am fasting. I am praying more. I am reciting more Qur’an. I feel comfort in the rhythm of suḥūr and ifṭār, in standing at night, in hearing the Qur’an recited.
