اس سورۃ کی ابتدا لفظ 'ویل' سے ہوئی ہے جس کا عمومی ترجمہ 'خرابی' ملتا ہے۔ اگر عربی زبان کی روح سے دیکھا جائے تو سنجیدگی کااحساس ہوتا ہے۔ نکرہ اسم کا استعمال شدت کو ظاہر کرتاہے – جیسے کہ کسی انسان پر انتہائی غصّہ اور افسوس ہو۔ 'ویل' کو سنتے ساتھ ہی خوف کی کیفیت طاری ہوتی ہے اور ذہن میں سوال پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ کونسی خصوصیات ہیں جن کی وجہ سے انسان اللہ تعالیٰ کے اتنے غضب کا حقدار ہوتا ہے۔ اس آیت کے مطابق لوگوں کا دل دکھانا - چغل...مزید دیکھیں

In the past, whenever I used to listen to this powerful verse, the image that would come to my mind was an image of a person who is never mindful of what he or she says. A person who loosely slanders, backbites, and defames. Today, I have learned this verse from the standpoint of a داعي. A داعي can also fall prey to Shaitan. Money and other forms of wealth are all temporary, we should become more aware that as humans our bodies will deteriorate. Instead of worrying about it, find every moment to thank Allah (swt) for allowing us to take every breath with ease. The acts of bending down for ruku and sujood, without any difficulty is a massive blessing in itself- focus on counting that rather than numbers on a payslip/in a bank account.

Earlier today, I was reading this surah along with its translation and tafsir. It's a warning for me to:
1. not backbite and slander people.
2. not be greedy and counts my wealth.
It is hypocritical of me if I were to say I didn't do these two. I did, but when I was a teenager. The adrenaline rush when we gossip and the way a story unveils another. That is one of the enjoyable parts of high school. My mom always reminds us to not talk about peo...مزید دیکھیں

It is important to never talk about someone who isn't present at all, especially if the conversation is about something you would not be happy about if it were said about you. Avoiding people who love spreading gossip about others in a world where we are connected is difficult, but it's important to advise such a person.
