Sometimes the simplest Sunnah brings a kind of peace that truly surprises you.

Someone gifted me a miswak, and I kept it safe like a little treasure. One day I thought, “Let me just try it once.” But the very first time I used it, I found myself thinking, SubhanAllah, why didn’t I try this earlier? My teeth felt visibly cleaner - the kind of clean even expensive toothpastes don’t always give.

And then I remembered the hadith where the Prophet (pbuh) said: “The siwak cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord.” (Musnad Ahmad 7)

Honestly, reviving these small Sunnahs reminds me that there is a special kind of barakah in the Sunnah - a blessing that nothing else can replace.

And the best part is that I’m pleasing my Lord while my teeth feel cleaner than ever.

قرآن کی تعلیمات کو سمجھنا صرف زبانی کلامی یا ظاہری مظاہرے تک محدود نہیں رہنا چاہیے۔ ایسے افراد بھی دیکھنے کو ملتے ہیں جو قرآن اور اسلام سے متعلق عربی زبان سیکھ رہے ہوتے ہیں، سوشل میڈیا پر دینی پیغامات اور قرآنی آیات شیئر کرتے ہیں، لیکن ان کے اخلاق اور رویے ان تعلیمات سے میل نہیں کھاتے۔ بسا اوقات وہ قرآن سیکھنے کے نام پر اپنی بنیادی ذمہ داریاں بھی نظر انداز کر دیتے ہیں۔ حقیقی دعوت وہ ہے جو ہمارے اخلاق اور برتاؤ سے ظاہر ہوتی ہے۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنی زندگی میں اسی اخلاق حسنہ کا عملی نمونہ پیش کیا جس کے ذریعے دینِ اسلام نے ابتدا میں دلوں کو فتح کیا اور وسعت پائی۔ اگر ہم واقعی قرآن اور اسلام کے طالب علم ہیں تو ہمیں اپنی زندگی میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے اس اخلاقی نمونے کو عملی طور پر اپنانا ہوگا، تاکہ ہماری دعوت صرف باتوں تک محدود نہ رہے بلکہ ہماری زندگیوں سے بھی اس کا اظہار ہو۔

Following the Prophet’s Example 

A student once asked his teacher: 'Tell us of something about Jannah, which will make us yearn for it'. The teacher replied succinctly:  'Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be there'. 

We all long to succeed in the ultimate test of life. We all desire Jannah. We all hope to receive our record in our right hand. We all yearn for our Creator to welcome us with His mercy and grace. We all yearn to meet our Beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). Imagine sitting with him, looking at his noble face, listening to his comforting voice - the voice of revelation. Can you sense just being in his company? The one who was sent as a Mercy to Mankind?

That hope weighs heavily on the heart of every believer. And the Qur’an directs us to the most certain path to that success:
'Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.' (Surah al-Ahzab 33:21)
The most secure way to attain Allah’s pleasure is to model ourselves after the Prophet (peace be upon him), to reflect his character, embody his manners, and fill our lives with the remembrance of Allah. This is the best investment we can make today, whose returns will be seen on the Day of Judgment.

Yearning for Allah’s pleasure and longing to see our Creator and His Most Beloved, must be to be rooted in an active engagement and practice of his sunnah. 

Ask yourself:


How well do I truly know the way of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him)?
Where am I falling short in following his example?
What steps can I take to learn more about his life and put it into practice? 
Hope cannot stand alone. It must be built on action, by actively aligning our lives with the guidance and example of the best of creation (peace be upon him). We pray Allah guides us to follow in his example, and that Allah grants his intercession and companionship in Jannah. Amen

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

نگاہِ عشق و مستی میں وہی اوّل، وہی آخر
وہی قرآن، وہی فرقان، وہی یاسین، وہی طہٰ
(اقبال)

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ 
(بیشک تم سب لوگوں کے لیے نبی ﷺ کی زندگی میں بہترین نمونہ ہے)

بہت زیادہ کوٹ کی جاتی ہے، لیکن کم ہی لوگ جانتے ہیں کہ یہ آیت کس سیاق و سباق میں نازل ہوئی تھی۔ یہ غزوۂ احزاب کا وقت تھا، جو کہ مسلمانوں پر سخت ترین وقت تھا۔ مدینے کے باہر خندق کے دوسری طرف کفار کا دس ہزار کا لشکر تھا، اور مدینے کے اندر سے خبریں آ رہی تھیں کہ یہودی سازش کرنے لگے ہیں اور کفار کے ساتھ ملنے لگے ہیں۔ صحابہ اتنے زیادہ دن سے نہیں سوئے تھے، آنکھیں خون کی طرح سرخ ہو گئی تھیں، بھوک اور افلاس کا وقت تھا، صحابہ نے اپنے پیٹ پر پتھر باندھ کر گزارا کر رہے تھے۔ اس وقت واقعی ان کے ایمان سخت طریقے سے آزمائے گئے تھے، یہاں تک کہ اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ نے خود اپنی کتاب میں لکھا کہ:

'إِذْ زَاغَتِ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَبَلَغَتِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلظُّنُونَا، هُنَالِكَ ٱبْتُلِيَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ زِلْزَالًا شَدِيدًا'
(33:10-11)

بیان القرآن ترجمہ:
اور جب (شدتِ خوف سے) آنکھیں پھر گئیں اور دل (خوف کے مارے) حلق تک پہنچ گئے اور تم اللہ کے بارے میں طرح طرح کے گمان کرنے لگے۔ وہاں مومنوں کی خوب آزمائش کی گئی اور انہیں سخت زلزلہ میں ڈال دیا گیا۔

اس وقت یہ آیت نازل ہوئی تھی:
لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا

مقصد یہ تھا کہ: 'مسلمانوں! ڈرو نہیں، اپنے رول ماڈل کو دیکھو، کیسی لیڈرشپ کی خصوصیات دکھا رہے ہیں، کیسے استقامت دکھا رہے ہیں، تم لوگوں کے ساتھ مل کر مشقت کر رہے ہیں، تم لوگوں نے ایک پتھر باندھا ہے پیٹ پر تو انہوں نے دو باندھے ہیں۔' اور پھر یہ اسی لیڈرشپ اور مسلمانوں کی اسی استقامت کا اجر تھا کہ اللہ کی مدد آئی اور مسلمانوں کو فتح نصیب ہوئی۔

افلاک سے آتا ہے نالوں کا جواب آخر
کرتے ہیں خطاب آخر، اُٹھتے ہیں حجاب آخر
(اقبال)

غزوۂ احزاب کے بعد آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا تھا کہ: 'یہ آخری بار تھی کہ یہ لوگ تم پر حملہ کرنے کے لیے آئے۔ اب اس کے بعد تم لوگ کرو گے اور کرتے ہی جاؤ گے۔' غزوۂ احزاب 5 ہجری میں ہوا، اس سے پہلے 18 سال اور غزوۂ احزاب کے ختم ہونے تک مسلسل جدوجہد ہی جدوجہد تھی، صبر تھا، استقامت تھی، طائف اور اُحد جیسے دن بھی آئے تھے، اور ابھی مزید جدوجہد باقی تھی، لیکن نبی ﷺ اور ان کے صحابہ کی نظر ان کے مقصد پر تھی، اقامتِ دین پر تھی، ہر کسی کو اپنے حصے کا حق ادا کرنا تھا، اپنے حصے کی جدوجہد کرنی تھی۔

افراد کے ہاتھوں میں ہے اقوام کی تقدیر
ہر فرد ہے ملت کے مقدر کا ستارہ
(اقبال)

آج ہم سب امت کے حال پر پریشان ہوتے ہیں، مسیحا کے انتظار میں ہیں کہ کوئی آئے اور راتوں رات سب ٹھیک کر دے، خلیفہ کے انتظار میں ہیں کہ وہ آئے اور سب کو متحد کر دے۔ ایسے نہیں ہوتا، یہ اللہ کا قانون ہے نہ ہی اس کے نبی کی سنت۔ ہمیں میں سے ہر ایک کو اپنے حصے کا کام کرنا ہے، پہلے اللہ کی کتاب کو اپنے اوپر نافذ کرنا ہے، پھر اپنے گھر والوں پر کرنا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر اسرار کہا کرتے تھے، ہر شخص پہلے اپنی ذات کا خلیفہ ہے، پھر اپنے گھر والوں کا خلیفہ ہے۔

ریفلکشن بہت بڑی ہو گئی ہے، اللہ ہم سب کو صبر دے اور استقامت دے، اور اپنی کتاب کی سمجھ دے اور نبی ﷺ کی سنت پر عمل کرنے کی توفیق دے۔

کی محمدؐ سے وفا تُو نے تو ہم تیرے ہیں،
یہ جہاں چیز ہے کیا، لوح و قلم تیرے ہیں
(اقبال)

آمين يا رب العالمين.جزانا وإياكم

This reservation by the critics neglects the fact that he ﷺ was sent as a role model. His ﷺ life is a reassurance for the grieving hearts. If he had all those luxuries of a king, how would many of us deprived of  worldly riches would have taken inspiration from himﷺ, only thinking that he didn't experience the path.

His ﷺ life was filled with pain and struggles,  he ﷺ was an orphan, lost his mother, no siblings and lost six out of his ﷺ seven children in his life time.
He suffered hunger and poverty,
Threat and danger in Makkah,
Retaliation in Medina,
Yet he ﷺ was a kind man, comforting even a kid who lost his bird. A man of values and integrity even with his ﷺ opponents.

He ﷺ embodied what he ﷺ preached.
Comfort for the grieving heart even today, truly mercy for the worlds. For his blessed life tells us that the riches of this world are not a goal , The goal is Akirah.

He didn't asked to be worshipped, but  lived a life of servitude.

Why would a person writing to influence would live in extreme hardship even when he was conquering and got superiority in Makkah afterwards?

His ﷺ mission was higher than these worldly gains. His lifestyle reflects the teachings taught to his followers. 

Through my own experience , his ﷺ life story comforts the hearts struggling. It teaches us  that life of this world is temporary and fleeting and true success is in securing the hereafter. 


بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The life of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ was a mirror of the Prophets before him.
It was as if their paths, their trials, their victories and griefs —
were gathered into his single journey.
For he is Khatam an-Nabiyyīn — the Seal of Prophets.

Mūsā عليه السلام once stood trapped — the sea before him, an army behind.
His people cried: 'We are overtaken for sure!' (26:61)
But he said with unshakable yaqīn:
'Absolutely not! My Lord is certainly with me — He will guide me.' (26:62)

And so did Muḥammad ﷺ,
as arrows rained like a storm,
as his companions scattered in fear.
He pressed forward, never retreating, never yielding —
for his Lord was with him.

Ya‘qūb عليه السلام lost two sons,
his eyes whitened from grief,
yet his patience shone like a lantern in the dark.

And Muḥammad ﷺ —
he buried six of his children with his own hands,
yet his heart remained steadfast,
always holding good thoughts of Allah.

‘Īsā عليه السلام never knew the warmth of a father’s embrace.
And so too, Muḥammad ﷺ was born an orphan,
never once cradled by his father’s arms.

Nūḥ عليه السلام preached for 950 years,
yet watched the waves swallow his son,
realizing that guidance is only in Allah’s Hand.

And so too, Muḥammad ﷺ
watched his beloved uncle — his guardian —
die upon disbelief,
pressured by the chiefs of Quraysh.

Then Allah revealed:
'Indeed, you do not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills.' (28:56)

Ibrāhīm عليه السلام was rejected by his father,
cast into fire,
and exiled from his people.

And Muḥammad ﷺ was mocked by his tribe,
stoned in Ṭāʾif until his sandals filled with blood,
and finally left Makkah for Madīnah.

He was one man — yet a reflection of all Prophets.
A seal of greatness,
a vessel of every trial,
a guide for every generation.

So many tests,
so many wounds,
so many nights of grief.
Yet never once did he act from anger or despair.

He was a teacher of patience,
a mentor of hope,
a messenger showing us how to be human again.

'Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example, for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day,  and remembers Allah often.' (33:21)

May Allah grant our Prophet ﷺ al-Wasīlah and al-Faḍīlah,
raise him to the highest station on the Day of Judgement,
and reward him beyond measure.

May Allah make us true followers of his Sunnah,
fill our hearts with love and longing for him,
and unite his Ummah under the banner of truth.

Alors qu’on pense souvent que les péchés n’ont aucun impact social, demeure pourtant une réalité : chacun représente un modèle, qu’il le veuille ou non.

Quand on observe le développement d’un enfant, on voit qu’il acquiert énormément de choses par l’imitation. Pour imiter, il doit regarder, observer, percevoir, comprendre — ou ne pas comprendre — une logique, un schéma, qu’il va ensuite reproduire. De la même manière, en tant qu’individus, chacun d’entre nous porte le poids du regard des autres, et celui du fait que nos actes seront suivis et copiés, indépendamment de notre volonté.

Cela nous recentre sur notre objectif premier : adorer Allah, vivre pour Lui et faire converger toutes nos actions vers Lui, vers Sa satisfaction. 

Car lorsque nous agissons avec l’intention sincère de plaire à Allah, cette bonne action est vue par Lui, et elle peut devenir un chemin que quelqu’un d’autre suivra après nous. 

À l’inverse, lorsqu’on commet une faute ou qu’on prononce une mauvaise parole, on ouvre aussi un chemin : un passage qui laisse des traces, comme des pas dans la neige… et ces pas-là finiront peut-être par être suivis par d’autres.

Ainsi, chaque mot, chaque regard ; chaque effort dans l’adoration ; chaque fois où l’on ferme la porte à une passion, à un péché, à une interdiction ; chaque fois où l’on se lève pour obéir à Allah… tout cela crée un chemin.

Un chemin personnel, d’abord : celui qu’on emprunte de plus en plus souvent, jusqu’à ce qu’il devienne une action constante — et Allah aime les actions constantes.

Et un chemin social également : un sillon qui implique et influence d’autres individus.

Dans cette perspective, on comprend alors le rôle de chaque personne dans la Ummah : les actions de chacun ont un impact immense. Lorsque j’agis avec paresse, j’ouvre la porte de la paresse. Lorsque je dépasse les limites dans ma nourriture ou ma boisson, j’ouvre cette porte également.

On prend alors conscience du poids de nos péchés, qu’ils soient publics ou privés : car Allah dévoile, et en réalité, à travers nos actes, nous nous dévoilons nous-mêmes..

Allah décrit Son Messager ﷺ comme « un excellent modèle », ainsi que d’autres comme des modèles à prendre dans le Coran. Lorsqu’Allah nous montre des exemples de figures pieuses, communautés pieuses, des compagnons vertueux, ceci nous incite à marcher dans leurs pas, et nous essayons de puiser dans leur comportement et dans leurs bonnes actions.

Eux, à qui le paradis et ses délices ont été promis, eux qui sont mentionnés comme ayant un rang élevé auprès du Seigneur des Mondes, eux qui ont réussi…

Notre but reste le même : nous sauver nous-mêmes et nous préserver du feu de l’Enfer.

Toutefois, nous vivons dans un monde qui est rempli d’influences. Celles ci sont très importantes pendant l’adolescence : du haut de nos 11 ans, où les modèles sont des chanteurs, des rappeurs, des idoles, des footballeurs, des boxeurs, des influenceurs… des modèles qui, bien souvent, nous détournent du droit chemin. 

Ils nous montrent une version du monde qui contredit s’oppose à la réalité de l’au-delà, et qui s’oppose au Jour du Jugement.

Ce jour-là, on verra clairement que ces personnes dont nous avons imité les habitudes, les mots, les expressions, les comportements… ne pourront absolument rien pour nous — sauf s’il s’agissait de gens du bien, que nous avons suivis dans le bien.

En revanche, si ce sont des gens du mal, des personnes dans le péché, et que nous avons suivi leurs pas, il ne servira à rien de chercher auprès d’eux un quelconque réconfort ou une quelconque intercession. Ils ne pourront pas, et ils ne voudront pas être associés à nous.

Car la réalité de ce Jour de la Vérité — Yawm al-Haqq — est que le seul véritable suivi, c’est celui du droit chemin : celui de ceux qu’Allah a comblés de Ses faveurs, et non celui de ceux qui ont encouru Sa colère ni celui de ceux qui se sont égarés.


Alhamdoulilah, merci pour ce rappel important

At first glance, this ayah might only seem like an indication to follow the Messenger of Allah (sws) and to take him as an example. However, if we dig deeper and explore the several facets of such a statement the phrase 'In the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example' becomes a garden where each corner showcases a different cluster of plants and flowers. On the one hand, the Prophet (sws) is an example of life and a guide through its complexity. Through emulating him (sws) we embrace the knowledge of Allah himself, of our dependence on Him, and we are granted insights into the divine wisdoms behind the turning of the wheels of life. In the life of Rasulullah (sws) we are shown Tawakkul, patience, the working of the divine decree and many other eternal truths. If we look at this from another angle, the example of the Prophet (sws) becomes the perfect manifestation of true submission to the Creator—of the one who treads the illuminated path of the Shari'ah; whose acts of worship have reached the highest degrees of excellence. When Allah says in the Quran:


'Surely We created man in the best mould 

then We reverted him to the lowest of the low,

except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. Theirs is a never ending reward.' [95:4-6]


It is an indication of man's potential, and that such potential can only be reached through faith and good deeds motivated by the belief in Allah. Connecting it to the verse in surah al-Ahzab, we have been given the Perfect man to emulate—the Messenger of God (sws). If we let our emulation of him (sws) remain one-dimensional then we are not fully taking advantage of this mercy from Allah. Moreover, the Messenger of Allah (sws) was also described as the 'walking Qur'an'. This should be an indication of the symbiotic relationship between the book of Allah and His messenger (sws). The two complete each other, as the Quran comes with guidance and light, the Messenger (sws) embodies that guidance and light and provides the believers with a tangible framework to live and breathe the Quran—to truly taste revelation.

In his Kitab al-Mawaqif Amir Abdul Qadir said about this verse: 'For the disciple—indeed, for the gnostic himself—this verse should be the cardinal point of his orientation (qiblatahu) in every place, the object of his contemplation at every instant.'

By studying Seerah, we are not bringing value to the life of Prophet Muhammadﷺ, rather, By studying Seerah we are bringing value to our own lives.

Muslims as an Ummah or a community or a society, we are in a state of dis-array because we fail to emulate the prophet's way of life. Quran 33:21 Allah is guiding us in that Direction.

What do we gain as a society by following the prophet's footsteps ?

Let's Reflect on Quran 48:29, we shall become like the community Prophet raised. What were they before Islam? If we go back to history, you will know what they used to be !.
