Responderam-lhe: Ó Hud, não tens apresentado nenhuma evidência, e jamais abandonaremos os nossos deuses pela tuapalavra, nem em ti creremos;

يخبر تعالى [ إخبارا عن قوم هود ] أنهم قالوا لنبيهم : ( ما جئتنا ببينة ) أي : بحجة [ ولا دلالة ][ ولا ] وبرهان على ما تدعيه ، ( وما نحن بتاركي آلهتنا عن قولك ) أي : بمجرد قولك : " اتركوهم " نتركهم ، ( وما نحن لك بمؤمنين )[ أي ] بمصدقين
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
