Fn toen hij de zon zag opgaan zei hij: "Dit is mijin Heer, deze is groter." Maar toen zij onderging, zei hij: "O mijn volk: voorwaar, ik ben onschuldig aan wat jullie an deelgenoten (aan Allah) toekennen."

{ فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي هَذَا أَكْبَرُ } من الكوكب ومن القمر. { فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ } تقرر حينئذ الهدى، واضمحل الردى فـ { قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ } حيث قام البرهان الصادق الواضح، على بطلانه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
