En (gedenkt) toen jullie zeiden: "O Môesa, wij zullen jou niet geloven totdat wij Allah duidelijk (in Zijn ware gestalte) zien," waarop de bklisem jullie greep, terwijl jullie toekeken.

{ وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى نَرَى اللَّهَ جَهْرَةً } وهذا غاية الظلم والجراءة على الله وعلى رسوله، { فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ } إما الموت أو الغشية العظيمة، { وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ } وقوع ذلك, كل ينظر إلى صاحبه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
