قالوا: يا أبانا إنا ذهبنا نتسابق في الجَرْي والرمي بالسهام، وتركنا يوسف عند زادنا وثيابنا، فلم نقصِّر في حفظه، بل تركناه في مأمننا، وما فارقناه إلا وقتًا يسيرًا، فأكله الذئب، وما أنت بمصدِّق لنا ولو كنا موصوفين بالصدق; لشدة حبك ليوسف.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
