English Translation: Starting every good deed by mentioning the name of Allah (basmalah) and always remembering that Allah is Most Gracious and Most Merciful.
Imagine sitting in a room that has no internet connection. And then all of a sudden, a powerful wifi connection becomes available. You can't see it, you can't feel it, you can't hear it, or sense it any way, but your environment and the potential ability you have to connect with almost anything or anyone in the world has changed drastically. The device that could not connect with anything outside of itself a few moments ago can now connect with i...Lihat lebih dari yang ini
I came across a piece of advice recently that was quite simple, yet so very profound (paraphrased):
'If you don't feel right saying 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem' before doing something - don't do it!'
If you are about do something, say something, listen to something, eat something, read something, write something, post something - and it just doesn't feel right to say 'Bismillah' before beginning, that's a great signal for us to stop, reflect,...Lihat lebih dari yang ini

I wanted to begin this group, with the name of Allah. As Allah began the Quran in His name.
It's amazing how , no matter how much we learn about the names of Allah there's always a sense of vagueness to them.
For example we hear in a lot of lectures why Allah chose الرحمان and الرحيم . And the different implications that each of them have. One example can be like the former is mercy for everyone and the latter is more for the believers.
When I begin the Qur’an with الحمد لله رب العالمين (Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn), Ifeel that I am being taught how to speak to my Creator. These are not ordinary words — they are the very words Allah selected for Himself. Ibn ʿAbbās explained that Allah opened His Book with al-ḥamdu lillāh because He loves it and chose it as the most complete form of praise. Mujāhid said that every type of praise belongs to Allah, no one else shares in it...Lihat lebih dari yang ini

What made Orientalists attest to the preservation of the Quran in it's written form was the fact that they saw consistency across the various manuscripts which date back to the mid 7th century when Uthman RA ordered for the masahif (written copies of the Quran) to be unified. These consistencies exist even in cases where the uninitiated might assume that human intervention would be warranted. For example, in the writing of: باسم ربك بسم الله
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
