وَإِذَا
غَشِيَهُم
مَّوۡجٞ
كَٱلظُّلَلِ
دَعَوُاْ
ٱللَّهَ
مُخۡلِصِينَ
لَهُ
ٱلدِّينَ
فَلَمَّا
نَجَّىٰهُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡبَرِّ
فَمِنۡهُم
مُّقۡتَصِدٞۚ
وَمَا
يَجۡحَدُ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
إِلَّا
كُلُّ
خَتَّارٖ
كَفُورٖ
٣٢
Și dacă-i învăluie pe ei valurile, asemenea umbrelor, atunci Îl cheamă ei numai pe Allah, cu credință față de religia Lui, iar după ce-i izbăvește pe ei, [aducându-i] pe uscat, atunci unii dintre ei sunt șovăitori și nimeni nu tăgăduiește semnele Noastre, în afară de cel viclean și de cel nemulțumitor.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Allah tells us that He is the One Who has subjugated the sea so that ships may sail on it by His command, i.e., by His grace and power
For if He did not give the water the strength to carry the ships, they would not sail. So He says:
