Tutti i beni che vi sono stati concessi non sono che un prestito di questa vita, un ornamento per essa, mentre quello che è presso Allah è migliore e duraturo. Non comprendete dunque?

قوله تعالى : وما أوتيتم من شيء يا أهل مكة فمتاع الحياة الدنيا وزينتها أي تتمتعون بها مدة حياتكم ، أو مدة في حياتكم ، فإما أن تزولوا عنها أو تزول عنكم وما عند الله خير وأبقى أي أفضل وأدوم ، يريد الدار الآخرة وهي الجنة أفلا تعقلون أن الباقي أفضل من الفاني . قرأ أبو عمرو : ( يعقلون ) بالياء ، الباقون بالتاء على الخطاب وهو الاختيار ; لقوله تعالى : وما أوتيتم
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
