Dan sungguh, beberapa Rasul sebelum engkau (Muhammad) telah diperolok-olokkan, sehingga turunlah azab kepada orang-orang yang mencemoohkan itu sebagai balasan atas olok-olokan mereka.

وقوله : ( ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون ) هذا تسلية لرسوله محمد - صلى الله عليه وسلم - في تكذيب من كذبه من قومه ، ووعد له وللمؤمنين به بالنصرة والعاقبة الحسنة في الدنيا والآخرة .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
