الحمد لله الذي خلق السماوات والارض وجعل الظلمات والنور ثم الذين كفروا بربهم يعدلون ١
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَ ۖ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ ١
اَلۡحَمۡدُ
لِلّٰهِ
الَّذِىۡ
خَلَقَ
السَّمٰوٰتِ
وَالۡاَرۡضَ
وَجَعَلَ
الظُّلُمٰتِ
وَالنُّوۡرَ ؕ
ثُمَّ
الَّذِيۡنَ
كَفَرُوۡا
بِرَبِّهِمۡ
يَعۡدِلُوۡنَ

Segala puji bagi Allah yang telah menciptakan langit dan bumi, dan menjadikan gelap dan terang, namun demikian orang-orang kafir masih mempersekutukan Tuhan mereka dengan sesuatu.

I was reflecting on the use of the word 'hamd', (praise) in the Quran, and I was drawn to how many of the verses that cite 'hamd' describe Allah in relation to the heavens and the earth and Lord of the Worlds. He (SwT) is described as The Creator, Owner, Originator, Lord of the heavens and the earth.

قال العلماء: هذه السورة أصل في محاجة المشركين وغيرهم من المبتدعين، ومن كذب بالبعث والنشور، وهذا يقتضي إنزالها جملة واحدة؛ لأنها في معنى واحد من الحجة. القرطبي:8/312.
