صراط الذين انعمت عليهم غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين ٧
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧

(yaitu) jalan orang-orang yang telah Engkau beri nikmat kepadanya; bukan (jalan) mereka yang dimurkai, dan bukan (pula jalan) mereka yang sesat.1

(Al-Fatihah 1:7)
Lafaz أَنْعَمْتَ (an’am-ta) bermaksud 'nikmat yang telah Engkau~'. Hebatnya al-Quran, 'nikmat' itu tidak pernah definisinya satu sahaja. Kata akarnya ialah نعم (na’a ma) dan al-An’am juga mempunyai kata akar yang sama. Al-An’am bermaksud binatang/haiwan.
Binatang merupakan nikmat yang besar buat orang Arab. Dagingnya boleh dimakan dan kulitnya boleh dijadikan beberapa produk yang bermanfaat. Begitu juga hasil tenusu.
