Allah the Mighty and Majestic says, 'Verily I created My servants Hunafa' (as monotheists), but then the devils came to them and distracted them from their religion.)' Then Allah says,

فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا
(Then He showed it its Fujur and its Taqwa.) meaning, He showed him to his transgression and his Taqwa. This means that He clarified that for it and He guided it to what has been ordained for him.

Allah, exalted is He, in all his might, does not need to make an oath, but when he does we better pay full attention and heed what follows...

In this short surah, a record number of oaths are made, as Allah swears by 11 signs:

I was speaking to my mother the other day and she said something that stuck with me. She said life is like this long hallway with a bunch of doors. Every door we open leads us somewhere, but not every place is good for us. She told me to be careful about the ones I choose, especially doors that lead to haram, whether it’s a haram friendship, a haram job, or even just one bad habit.
She said, 'Once you open the door to something haram, it’s rarel...

'By the soul and its molding and inspiration with knowledge of wickedness and righteousness. Successful is the one who keeps it pure and ruined is the one who corrupts it' (91:7-10)

The soul is a precious thing. If you think about it, it’s who we REALLY are. Our bodies are simply vessels for the duration of our time here on earth...and then we, our souls, simply move on.

There’s a lot that can be said about the soul and so much we just don’t kn...

If you observe the principle elements of nature, everything in it seems to have two common qualities.
One is, if controlled and given to us in the perfect measured doses, it is beneficial to us, so much so that life without it is impossible.
And the other is if let go and left wild and untamed they can destroy us violently.

The earth itself, where we live, can destroy us with earthquakes or volcanoes.
The sun, which gives us daylight, energy, ...

What can i say about these infinitely beautiful ayat?
Allah, the most High, the Owner of everything that exists, the Truthful and Wise, Him! He is taking so many oaths!
Look at the One who is making these oaths, and look at the majesty of the things He is taking an oath by!

By the brilliant sun, when it is at its zenith, by the moon as it follows it, with its phases.
By the daytime, as it highlights the sun, and the night time, which completel...

Towards the end of Ramadan, I began to share my thoughts on the description of the muttaqeen at the beginning of Suratul-Baqarah. Allah willing, I wanted to continue on from there and look to the descriptions of disbelief and hypocrisy. Like the description of the muttaqeen, their descriptions can tell us much, except this time about the characteristics we should be wary of within ourselves.

We begin to recite once again, we look to how Allah de...
