النفس آية كبيرة من آياته التي هي حقيقةٌ بالإقسام بها؛ فإنها في غاية اللطف والخفة، سريعة التنقل والحركة، والتغير والتأثر والانفعالات النفسية -من الهم والإرادة والقصد والحب والبغض-، وهي التي لولاها لكان البدن مجرد تمثال لا فائدة فيه، وتسويتها على هذا الوجه آية من آيات الله العظيمة. السعدي: 926.

I was speaking to my mother the other day and she said something that stuck with me. She said life is like this long hallway with a bunch of doors. Every door we open leads us somewhere, but not every place is good for us. She told me to be careful about the ones I choose, especially doors that lead to haram, whether it’s a haram friendship, a haram job, or even just one bad habit.

What can i say about these infinitely beautiful ayat?
Allah, the most High, the Owner of everything that exists, the Truthful and Wise, Him! He is taking so many oaths!
Look at the One who is making these oaths, and look at the majesty of the things He is taking an oath by!
By the brilliant sun, when it is at its zenith, by the moon as it follows it, with its phases.
By the daytime, as it highlights the sun, and the night time, which completel...Voir plus

We are often told that Allah is needless of our worship and unaffected by our disobedience. Our prayers do not increase His kingdom, nor do our sins diminish His authority. So why were we created?

جب وقت مہرباں ہوتا ہے تو سکوں کا دور دورہ ہو جاتا ہے۔
لیکن گر وقت اپنی رفتار بڑھانے لگے،
اور سکوں کی ڈوری دنیا کی بے لگام رسی میں بندھ جائے۔۔،
تو مَن کے حالات کٹھن ہو جاتے ہیں۔۔!
باہر سے آتی وقتی روشنی دل میں گہرے کالے بادل لے آتی ہے۔۔!
اور دل۔۔،
دل دیکھنا بھول جاتا ہے،
سننے کی صلاحیت سلب ہو جاتی ہے۔۔،
وہ دل جسکے ایواں مہکا کرتے تھے۔۔،
وہ دل جو کبھی شاداب ہوا کرتا تھا۔۔،
اب وہاں اجاڑ ویرانی آنے لگی ہے۔۔،

If Allah put the knowledge of distinguishing good and evil in the default system of every nafs, then why He said in the very next ayah that those who cleanses themselves are successful and those who corrupt themselves are gone astray???
The Prophet (pbuh) said, all babies born in fitrah but his or her parents make him or her Christian or Jewish etc…..
That means our surroundings, our experience keep putting layers on our default s...Voir plus

رمضان نے مجھے میرے اصل سے ملوایا
رمضان، صرف عبادتوں کا موسم نہیں… یہ روح کی گہرائیوں میں اُترنے کا مہینہ ہے۔ جیسے کوئی آئینہ برسوں بعد صاف کیا جائے، ویسے ہی دل کا آئینہ رمضان میں چمکنے لگتا ہے۔ اور پھر… انسان پہلی بار اپنے آپ کو دیکھتا ہے۔
ہم اکثر خود کو اپنی مصروفیات، رشتوں، خواہشات، اور دنیا کے شور میں گم کر دیتے ہیں۔ ہم وہی بن جاتے ہیں جو لوگ ہمیں کہتے ہیں… ماں، بیٹی، دوست، طالبعلم… مگر رمضان آتا ہے اور آ کر سوال کرتا ہے:
'تم، اصل میں کون ہو؟ ...Voir plus
