واذ قال الله يا عيسى ابن مريم اانت قلت للناس اتخذوني وامي الاهين من دون الله قال سبحانك ما يكون لي ان اقول ما ليس لي بحق ان كنت قلته فقد علمته تعلم ما في نفسي ولا اعلم ما في نفسك انك انت علام الغيوب ١١٦
وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ ١١٦

نَفۡسِي

أَعۡلَمُ
مَا

نَفۡسِكَۚ
إِنَّكَ
أَنتَ
عَلَّٰمُ
ٱلۡغُيُوبِ

(Rappelle-leur) le moment où Allah dira : "Ô Jésus, fils de Marie, !Est-ce toi qui as dit aux gens : "Prenez-moi, ainsi que ma mère, pour deux divinités en dehors d’Allah ?" Il dira: "Gloire et pureté à Toi ! Il ne m’appartient pas de déclarer ce que je n’ai pas le droit de dire! Si je l’avais dit, certes Tu l’aurais su. Tu sais ce qu’il y a en moi, et je ne sais pas ce qu’il y a en Toi. Tu es, en vérité, le grand connaisseur de tout ce qui est inconnu. 1

It caused me to think, at a time when Allah is questioning Jesus A.S infront of all humanity including Christians concerning the accusation that his followers had made about Allah swt that would've caused the earth and mountains to erupt.

What has always intrigued me most about this powerful passage is the question: why does Jesus AS provide such a long response to a question that he knows very well that Allah SWT already knows the answer to? Surely Jesus AS didn't doubt that Allah SWT knew that he was innocent of the claims made against him that he called his followers to his own worship, so couldn't he simply answer with : 'No I did not'?
