قال لقد ظلمك بسوال نعجتك الى نعاجه وان كثيرا من الخلطاء ليبغي بعضهم على بعض الا الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات وقليل ما هم وظن داوود انما فتناه فاستغفر ربه وخر راكعا واناب ۩ ٢٤
قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْخُلَطَآءِ لَيَبْغِى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَقَلِيلٌۭ مَّا هُمْ ۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًۭا وَأَنَابَ ۩ ٢٤
قَالَ

مَّا
هُمۡۗ
وَظَنَّ
دَاوُۥدُ
أَنَّمَا
فَتَنَّٰهُ
فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرَ
رَبَّهُۥ
وَخَرَّۤ
رَاكِعٗاۤ
وَأَنَابَ ۩
٢٤
Il [David] dit : "Il a été certes injuste envers toi en demandant de joindre ta brebis à ses brebis." Beaucoup de gens transgressent les droits de leurs associés, sauf ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres - cependant ils sont bien rares. - Et David pensa alors que Nous l’avions mis à l’épreuve. Il demanda donc pardon à son Seigneur et tomba prosterné et se repentit . 1

I know what it feels like to respond to a situation and immediately feel that I was being tested?
What a beautiful practice modeled by Dawood (as) here.... To not just ask for forgiveness, but to physically fall down into bowing or prostration and to turn to Allah during that moment of clarity.
May Allah always allow us to remember Him when He tests us. Ameen.

قرآن پاک کی آیاتِ سجدہ میں سے یہ آیت ہے جس میں دیگر آیات کے برعکس بظاہر لفظ 'سجدہ' موجود نہیں۔ یہ آیت حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام کے حالاتِ زندگی کی ایک جھلک پیش کرتی ہے، جنہیں ربِّ کریم نے حکومت و حکمت سے نوازا تھا اور 'فَصْلِ الْخِطَاب' (فیصلہ کن گفتگو) کی نعمت عطا کی تھی۔ اس آیت میں پیش آیا واقعہ درحقیقت اِن تینوں عطاؤں کا امتحان تھا، جس میں وہ پورے اترے۔

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,
I have read the story of Dawud Alahis salaam and the test that he underwent regarding his judgement for the possession of sheep. Initially, I did not quite understand it very well if I am being honest, I wanted to understand it better in order to apply the lessons here. So previously I prayed to Allah to allow me to understand it and take lesson from it.

This passage talks about two brothers who entered upon Prophet Dawud AS, and one of them complained that the other had asked him and pressured him into giving him him his only sheep (despite having 99 of his own).
