Et [rappelez-vous], lorsque vous dites: "Ô Moïse! Nous ne te croirons qu’après avoir vu Allah clairement!" Alors la foudre vous saisit tandis que vous regardiez.

{ وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى نَرَى اللَّهَ جَهْرَةً } وهذا غاية الظلم والجراءة على الله وعلى رسوله، { فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ } إما الموت أو الغشية العظيمة، { وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ } وقوع ذلك, كل ينظر إلى صاحبه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
