اقتلوا يوسف او اطرحوه ارضا يخل لكم وجه ابيكم وتكونوا من بعده قوما صالحين ٩
ٱقْتُلُوا۟ يُوسُفَ أَوِ ٱطْرَحُوهُ أَرْضًۭا يَخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ أَبِيكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ قَوْمًۭا صَـٰلِحِينَ ٩

Tuez Joseph ou bien éloignez-le dans n’importe quel pays, afin que le visage de votre père se tourne exclusivement vers nous, et que vous soyez après cela des gens de bien ." 1

When I read this ayah (12:25), I imagine two people running towards a door. Isn't it interesting that in the same room, one person is running towards sin and another person is running away from it? One is striving to keep the door of escape closed, another is striving to open that door and escape.

In surah Yusuf [12], Allah informs us about the brothers of Yusuf who said:
[اقْتُلُوا يُوسُفَ أَوِ اطْرَحُوهُ أَرْضًا يَخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ أَبِيكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا مِن بَعْدِهِ قَوْمًا صَالِحِينَ]
Kill Yusuf or cast him out to another land so that your father's favor will be for you alone, and after that you will be righteous people. [9]
al-Qushayri mentioned in his tafsir:
[قديمًا قيل : (من طلب الكل = فاته الكل!).فلما أرادوا أن يكون إقبال يعقو...Voir plus

سب سے برا گناہ یہ ہے کہ اپنے آپ کو مطمئن کرنے کے لیے اپنے گناہوں کو جائز قرار دینا شروع کر دیں۔ یہ دراصل اپنے آپ کو بے وقوف بنانا ہے کیونکہ آپ ان احمقانہ جوازوں سے اللہ کو کبھی بے وقوف نہیں بنا سکتے۔ یوسف کی کہانی میں جب بھائی اس بات پر بحث کرتے ہیں کہ یوسف سے کیسے جان چھڑائی جائے۔ وہ ان سے نفرت کو اپنا مقصد قرار نہیں دیتے، انہوں نے یوسف کے خلاف اپنے جرم کا جواز پیش کرتے ہوئے یعقوب (ع) پر حسد کا الزام لگانا شروع کیا۔

The worst of Sin is to start justifying your sins in order to satisfy yourself. It’s actually fooling your oneself because you can never fool Allah with those silly justifications. In the story of Yusuf, when the brothers discuss how to get rid of Yusuf.
