Lorsque l’effroi eut quitté Abraham et qu’il eut reçu la bonne nouvelle voilà qu’il discuta avec Nous (en faveur) du peuple de Lot,

{ فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ } الذي أصابه من خيفة أضيافه { وَجَاءَتْهُ الْبُشْرَى } بالولد، التفت حينئذ، إلى مجادلة الرسل في إهلاك قوم لوط، وقال لهم:{ إن فيها لوطا قالوا نحن أعلم بمن فيها لننجينه وأهله إلا امرأته }
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
