ٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗا
فِي
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَمَكۡرَ
ٱلسَّيِّيِٕۚ
وَلَا
يَحِيقُ
ٱلۡمَكۡرُ
ٱلسَّيِّئُ
إِلَّا
بِأَهۡلِهِۦۚ
فَهَلۡ
يَنظُرُونَ
إِلَّا
سُنَّتَ
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَۚ
فَلَن
تَجِدَ
لِسُنَّتِ
ٱللَّهِ
تَبۡدِيلٗاۖ
وَلَن
تَجِدَ
لِسُنَّتِ
ٱللَّهِ
تَحۡوِيلًا
٤٣
Semețindu-se pe pământ și prin viclenia celui șiret. Însă viclenia perfidă nu cuprinde decât neamul ei. Și oare așteaptă ei [altceva] decât rânduiala [soarta] popoarelor vechi? Dar nu vei găsi nicicând înlocuire pentru rânduiala lui Allah și nu vei găsi niciodată schimbare1 în rânduiala lui Allah2!

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
They longed for a Warner to come, but when He came, They disbelieved in Him
Allah tells us how Quraysh and the Arabs swore by Allah their most binding oath before the Messenger came to them,
لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَى مِنْ إِحْدَى الاٍّمَمِ
(that if a warner came to them, they would
