سَحَرُوٓاْ
أَعۡيُنَ
ٱلنَّاسِ
وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ
وَجَآءُو
بِسِحۡرٍ
عَظِيمٖ

(موسی) گفت: «شما بیفکنید» چون (ابزار خود را) افکندند، چشمهای مردم را افسون کردند و آنها را ترساندند، و سحر عظیمی (پدید) آوردند.

إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ
(Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw) before you. In another Ayah, they said,
