فقال اني احببت حب الخير عن ذكر ربي حتى توارت بالحجاب ٣٢
فَقَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ ٱلْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّى حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِٱلْحِجَابِ ٣٢
فَقَالَ

[luego de permanecer toda la tarde jugando con ellos descuidó la oración, y entonces Salomón] dijo: “Cómo he podido preferir éstos caballos al recuerdo de Dios hasta que el Sol se ocultó”[1]. 1

I found it beautiful how horses show up in both Surat al-adiyat and Surat sad, even though they’re talking about different people. In both places, horses represent a deep love for worldly things, not just owning them but being emotionally attached to them. 1. If you give something up for Allah SW he will replace it with something better. Soliman AS sacrificed his horses after them taking him from the remembrence of Allah SW, and Allah SW replaced that by giving him control over the wind to transport him where he desires.
